The client preferred checking his email in Gmail rather than through his CRM, but found it cumbersome to look up contacts’ profiles. This process required leaving Gmail, navigating to the CRM, and performing a search, disrupting his workflow and taking up valuable time.
I developed a custom Chrome extension that adds a side panel to Gmail. When the client opens an email from someone in his CRM, their profile automatically populates in the side panel. This panel displays key information such as phone numbers, notes, meetings, tasks, and connected projects. With a single click, he can add the email as a to-do item or note, draft a new email, search for all emails from that contact, or send a text message. Essentially, this extension provides full CRM functionality within Gmail, making it incredibly convenient and efficient.
